Nourishing the Pride
The Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Pride Pantry supports Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø students, faculty, and staff who may be experiencing food insecurity. The pantry provides access to essential, nonperishable, and nutritious food items to help ensure reliable daily nourishment.
Our goal is to serve as many members of the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø community as possible by offering a stable, supportive resource for those in need. By prioritizing healthy food options, the Pride Pantry helps promote overall well-being and academic and professional success.
Access to the Pride Pantry is available to individuals with a valid Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø ID. At this time, services are limited to current members of the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø community.
The food pantry is for the staff, faculty, and students of Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø. The Pantry can be accessed by any of these community members during their hours of operation. Please note that to use the Pride Pantry you will need to bring your Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø ID and fill out a short, confidential online survey.
The Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Food Pantry accepts nonÂperishable food donations. B​ased on research and feedback, the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Pride Pantry seeks to offer the campus community healthy food options. Stocked items can be expected to include the following:
- Canned protein
- Cereal (under 7 grams of sugar, at least 3 grams of fiber)
- Dried fruit with no added sugar
- Fruit canned in water or juice (not syrup)
- Fruit preserves
- Instant oatmeal
- Low-sodium soups
- Nuts
- Peanut butter
- Seeds/trail mixes
- Unsweetened applesauce
- Whole grain granola bars
- GlutenÂ-free options
- Whole grain dried pastas
- Canned vegetables
The confidentiality of the participants is very important to the success and the mission of the program. All identifying information collected will be kept confidential and will only be used for the purpose of improving the service that we provide to our community members.

The Dome Pride Pantry operates as a satellite location of the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Pride Pantry. The goal of the Dome Pride Pantry is to serve and support any Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø student, staff, and faculty who are at risk for food insecurity by providing them with nonperishable healthy food items. Individuals with a valid Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø ID card are eligible to use the Dome Pride Pantry. Please email domepridepantry@hofstra.edu to make an appointment.Â
The Pantry accepts donations during hours of operation. Please ensure that donations are nonperishable and unexpired.Â
Dented cans will not be accepted.

Please bring your Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø ID to swipe into the space to utilize our services. The Pride Pantry is closed when the University is closed and is not open during intersession or the summer.

Spring 2026
Mondays: 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Tuesdays: 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Wednesdays: 2 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Thursdays: 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
The pantry is also accessible outside of open hours by emailing DeanofStudents@hofstra.edu during regular business hours: Mondays-Fridays, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
